We welcome supporters/crew throughout the race and suggest the best places are the aid stations as outlined further below.

Sorry there are no pacers allowed on the course.  This is due to the narrowness of the final tracks and the limit placed on competitors in our Council permit.

Drop Bags

We can take drop bags for the 80km event participants to the following aid stations.  Please bring drop bags to registration on Friday 28th March, where we will label them and get them to the right spot on race day.  We will endeavor to get all drop bags remaining at aid stations (after the runners have been through) to the finish as soon as we can, otherwise they can be collected the next day at prize giving.

Drop bags can be taken to these aid stations:

  • Huia 14km,
  • Whatipu 26km
  • Karekare 37km
  • Piha 45km,
  • Bethells 63km

There are NO supporters/crews allowed at the following spots:

  • Past the Huia aid station to Whatipu due to the narrow windy gravel road to Whatipu
  • At the Karekare aid station again due to the windy narrow road and brake killer hill!
  • Following along the Piha Road section – this is a busy road and is quite narrow for the speedy locals to get past you!
  • Anawhata Road due to the narrow windy gravel road
