Instructions

The online entry system is using EventPlus and the first step in this process is to set up a profile.
If you have used EventPlus for another event you can simply login and all your details will be pre-populated.
You then select the event you want to enter and answer some specific event questions before heading to the cart and paying via credit card or bank transfer.

Limited Entries and Waiting List

80km Ultra SkyMarathon Event (Limited to 125 participants) 50% of spaces taken of permitted limit
34km SkyRace Event (Limited to 300 participants) 52% of spaces taken of permitted limit
16km Run or Walk Event (Limited to 300 participants) 41% of spaces taken of permitted limit

Entries have been restricted in our Auckland Council permit as this is a trial of the event at a managed number so the Council can monitor the impact of the event on the Regional Park and more importantly the management of Kauri Dieback.

2018 entries are limited by our council consent to the following but have allowance to grow each year:

  • 80km Ultra SkyMarathon – 125 entrants
  • 34km SkyRace – 300 entrants
  • 16km Run or Walk – 300 entrants

Given the limits there will be a first in, first served policy with the exception of 5 entries held and used for competition winners and/or international elite runners.  A waiting list will be implemented.  As you enter you will be alerted if the entry quota is full.  If alerted you will be given the option of entering and thus continuing  to enter all of the relevant details or you can select one of the other courses.  Whether you choose to go on the waiting list or enter the 34km event, when your name gets to the top of the waiting list as someone pulls out you’ll be notified and can log on and make a payment to confirm your entry.

Fees

Before eagerly clicking on the enter button – please make sure you have read all the information on this page and in the entry process you will agree to a waiver which refers to the rules and conditions to the event, which you should also read here.

Refer below for the full refund policy.  Please be aware that as part of the permit from Auckland Council, in relation to Kauri Dieback management measures, the event could be postponed to Saturday 5th March should the weather and/or track conditions be deemed unsuitable (in respect of the spread of Kauri Dieback) as directed by the Principal Ranger or similar, no later than 24 hours before the event day Saturday 24 February 2018.  No refunds will be given if you are unable to make the date of the postponed event.

Short of cash? – We want to make it easy for you (well the paying bit at least, the running… maybe not so much!).  So for the 80 km entrants only select “Bank Transfer” instead of ‘Credit Card” and pay in three installments.  It’s up to you to make the installments and manage that process and as long as it’s fully paid before the end of the September 2017.

Thir Bands are multi-functional headwear with at least 12 ways to wear it on your head. They offer protection from the elements, and form an attractive piece of head, or hair wear. You can carry it on your wrist, or even on your ankle, and they’ve even been worn as leg and arm warmers!

They are manufactured from EnduroCool 100% polyester micro-fiber, which is wind resistant, breathable, and wicks moisture. When washed the Thir Band is colour fast, dries in minutes, and retains its elasticity.

Thir Bands are stitched and formed on a specialized machine. This leaves a tube that has no irritating seams, allows the fabric to retain it’s shape, and gives a tremendous amount of strength to the finished garment. The ‘stitch free’ process allows Thir Band to support up to 150KG (over 300 pounds!) of weight.
