We had more than 20 applicants for the 3 Inspirer roles we were looking for and some really great stories and writing so it was a tough job to get down to 3. But we have selected the following and look forward to sharing with you all, their stories, feelings and preparation leading up to The Hillary on 27th February.
Rob Edkins who you already know a little after we shared his extremely entertaining application letter on Monday https://www.facebook.com/TheHillaryEvent/posts/796042357173168
Zara Fowell who is doing the 34km and although claims to be an inexperienced trail runner, won the women’s 34km last year and and wants to beat her time this year.
And last but not least, relatively new trail runner and doing the 16km, Brent Tucker who sent a very funny slideshow with his summary outlining among other things he should be chosen because there a larger space for sponsors logos a big guys shirt and his mum thinks he’s funny. Brent is new to trail running and has used it as a way of losing a heap of weight and is loving it.
So all three with different background, speeds, experience and levels of organisation so it should make great reading. We’ll get their first introductory blog posts up next week!
Thanks to all those that applied and thanks to Icebug/CEP who are our sponsors and will be kitting our Inspirers out in gear including some Icebug shoes.
